Christmas Eve on Seattle's Candy Cane Lane

Every year I try to visit Candy Cane Lane on Christmas Eve.  It's just a nice time to visit as there are a lot of visitors on this day, and it's nice to feel that Holiday Cheer that comes with being with a lot of strangers during the holidays.

I love the themes that permeate Candy Cane Lane.  Most importantly, the theme of Peace and Love are obvious in the signs around the lane.  Each house carries a sign that says "Peace" in different languages.  This is a beautiful symbolic gesture that to me, speaks about the greater good of being a good citizen and neighbor and friend, not just in your neighborhood, or your city.  Not even just in your country.  But in the world!
